Nicole's New Pet

Nicole went to the beach Saturday with her friend Shawn and his family. She came back with this little crab and named him Hermie. Hermie lives in a big bucket in her room. We bought crab food, shells, salt water solution and rocks for his little home. Nicole is thrilled to finally have a pet. I wasn't so thrilled when she brought it home, but what was I gonna do once it was already here? lol.

Seasons of Love altered frame

I got the idea for this altered frame from my favorite scrapbook store Green Tangerines. Each window is 8x8 inches. My husband Mark spray painted the frame ivory for me and I created the 4 Seasons of Love pages. If you click on the picture it will inlarge. Thanks for looking.

The Living Dead

I made this for my class that I'm taking on Debbie Hodge's website. The class is called "Scraproom with a view." I'm really having alot of fun with this class. The posts below are for the class too. Anyways, this layout is about my sad attempt at a flower pot garden on my patio. It didn't go well and the flowers only lasted one spring before the started dying. Some are still hanging on for dear life and the others are complete gonners.

Girl Scout Cookies for sell!

Okay, so we are done selling cookies. Woohoo! But I had to throw in this picture of Nicole and her friend selling cookies in front of the grocery store. I think they sold about 28 boxes. They were way too cute!

Paper or Plastic?

I saw a scrapbooking layout that I just loved so much. I thought it was so cute I wanted to copy it exactly, but I didn't have the same photos. So, what does a scrapbooker do? I stage photos! Isn't that bad? lol. Here is Nicole in one of the staged photographs. I will also post my layout when it's done. :o)

Paper Addiction

One of the peas from the the twopeasinabucket.com boards described me exactly when she said this about her self...

I didn't feel guilty when I was buying all my paper. I told myself I needed it. It's considered supplies. Expendable supplies. Consumables.

I realized I had crossed over into the addiction realm when I couldn't USE a certain particularly beautiful piece of paper because then I wouldn't have it any longer. I tried to tell myself I would still have it, it would just be cut up and put to the use it was intended. I wasn't listening.

I can use plain colored cardstock with wild abandon. But when it comes to my pretty patterns and specialty lines, I really struggle. And when I finally do cut into my pretty pieces, I save every scrap and cut the tiniest pieces into flowers for another project. I just can't throw them away!

Yes, I'm well rooted into the addiction. And I don't really want help getting out. I love my hobby!

Disneyland 2009

Well, We're back from Disneyland and we had a blast. We were there for 4 days. It rained alot the second day we were there. Nicole was afraid of most of the rides, lol. So, we had a small handful of rides that we rode over and over. Poor Mark, after the 4th time on the Whinnie the Pooh ride he couldn't handle it anymore. The tea cups was my favourte ride as always. Nicole loved the characters (so did I). We got lots of autographs and tons of pictures. Here are some...

I haven't scrapbook much lately, but here are my two latest creations

new hair cut

So, I cut about 8 inches off my hair. I really like the new cut, but it's hard to get into a ponytail now. Still, I'm happy and think it's cute.
